3.) Facilitated Online Course (12 PD hours)

Developed and facilitated by a SupportEd ML expert, the Culturally Responsive Teaching Strategies and Tools facilitated online course consists of three thematic components including culture, strategies, and advocacy. This course is asynchronous and contains forum discussions that allow educators to learn at their own pace. This  course requires a minimum of 35 seats in a group and provides a certificate for 12 hours of professional development upon completion. 

 

4.) On-Demand Course (5 PD hours)

This on-demand asynchronous course is conveniently self-paced, available year-round, and condenses research-based, proven practices in an easily accessible format. 6.) Online Book Study (20 PD hours) 

This online book study is based on the book Culturally Responsive Teaching for Multilingual Learners: Tools for Equity. This book study is self-paced and can be completed within a timeframe that works for every participant. Participants will read each chapter, apply learning by responding to three reflection questions per chapter, and complete a brief pre- and post-course survey. Bonus: a themed Padlet is included with the book study. 

 

7.) Live, In-Person Professional Development

Our The culturally responsive teaching professional development sessions are custom-made to fit each district or organization’s strengths and needs. Depending on your context and goals, our sessions can focus on providing assets-based approaches to instructing and assessing MLs,  leveraging MLs’ linguistic and cultural backgrounds, strengthening ML family and community engagement, and more.
